Johns Hopkins University (JHU) researchers affiliated with the Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute’s (ROSEI) may be eligible for seed funding. ROSEI is partnering with the Provost’s Office to expand the existing JHU Discovery and Catalyst research programs and offering an additional $50,000 on top of the conventional awards for impactful work aligned with the ROSEI focus areas and more specifically with ROSEI’s research initiatives.
Discovery Awards, two cross-school/divisional PIs, if aligned with ROSEI focus areas / initiatives eligible for $150,000. Apply for a 2022 award.
Catalyst Awards, early career PIs (3-10 years since full-time tenure-track appointment), if aligned with ROSEI focus areas / initiatives eligible for $125,000. Apply for a 2022 award.
Interested parties should apply directly to the Provost’s office. ROSEI professors that do not have conflicts of interest will be involved in the review process. Researchers are encouraged to contact the ROSEI initiative leaders (listed with each initiative) to learn more about their efforts and potential synergies in extensions and related work.
